Effective Tuesday March 17, NOTA will begin to offer free transportation services due to COVID-19 until further notice. The goal is to maintain current service levels at this time and put procedures in place to help keep the public and our employees safe.

Please note if you are experiencing flu like symptoms NOTA will not be able to transport you. NOTA is not medical transportation.  Please stay home.  We are asking our employees and riders to stay home if you are sick or have had any symptoms in the last 3 days. The driver will give you hand sanitizer prior to boarding the vehicle. NOTA is disinfecting the vehicles daily.

In an effort to help senior citizens (age 60 or older) and individuals with underlying health conditions reduce their risk of being exposed to Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19), NOTA is willing to help residents obtain food and other essentials from local Kroger or Meijer stores or FISH at no charge. See below for detailed instructions.

FISH is no longer allowing people inside their building to pick out food, they are just delivering a box to your vehicle.  NOTA will be able to pick up your box and take it to your home for free if you are a senior, disabled or are currently sick and can not leave your home.

You do NOT have to be a current NOTA rider to avail yourself of this emergency service. You need only be a resident of Oxford, Addison or Orion townships or the villages of Oxford, Leonard or Lake Orion.

If a resident of Orion, Oxford or Addison Townships has a need of picking up food for children from the brown bag delivery system currently in place and the parents are working and can’t get it themselves, please call NOTA.  If you know of another need you feel we could assist with at this time please contact us.

NOTA is here to meet the needs in our communities.  Thank you for your cooperation during this challenging time. We will continue to post updates if service levels change.

1) This is a free service for seniors, disabled, those with underlying health conditions or have flu like symptoms and should not leave home.
